From the eyes and mind of a young Indian Professional
We the young blood of this country are considered as an
asset for India today but our strengths should not limit to candle light march or
anger on social media. It’s our duty to the society to give its share back. As
a young Indian Professional today I can’t step back from my duty by not
participating in the elections of the world’s largest democracy. Indeed it
would take a minimum of 10 mins or maximum 30 mins to reach the poll booth and
cast your vote. But does it end here? Shall we not decide whom to vote and the
decision should be on facts, proven track record and reliable leadership.
Now the point is who should I Vote…Well the title says it
Why Modi…and not others.
The reason is simple I want someone who believes in “Generating First and Distributing
afterwards”. Modiji’s model of Gujarat is a perfect example of this where
the concentration is on Generation of resources first and then distributing to
the people. The growth in Gujarat is not hype, the figures suggest the same-
you take any sector. According to the Economic Advisory Council, Industrial
growth has been outstanding around at an average of 10.97 % as compared to
India’s 2.01%.The state has created jobs even during the economic meltdown, sources
say that nearly 70% of new jobs created in India were in Gujarat. The success
to the story lies behind in growth rate of the two major sectors -Primary
Sector 21.8% and Service Sector 12.34% approximately in the last year. One can understand his vision where the people
where facing problems with electricity and power cuts, he made sure that to lay
the foundation for any development first this issue needs to be resolved and
today Gujarat does not only have sufficient generation of electricity but it
also produces surplus power. In 2012-2013 the per capita incomes of Gujarat was
around 13.8% which is well above or double than most of the major states which
are led by NON BJP Governments. On the social front the Infant mortality rate
is 38% which is below India’s overall rate of 41% and the reducing rate is
nearly 1/3rd every year due to steps taken by the state Govt. The
BRTS project which is a success in Ahmedabad and now started in Surat has
surely shown that he is not only good in planning but also implementing as the
same project is a failure and have added to people’s problems in Pune in the
neighbouring state. Even it’s not behind in safety and security, after 2002
there has not been a single or small riot too. Today’s one of the main concern
is women safety if we consider the Report published by the Home Ministry of
India, Gujarat is much safer and secure than majority of the states. The
congress leader says women empowerment is their priority but has he really done
sufficient as states ruled by them show worst figures, this proves Modiji as a
performer first. One must not forget this all is after the natural loss Gujarat
faced after the Earthquake in 2001 to get the life of the state back on track
was a challenge but Modi not only perceived this challenge but also he has
proved well beyond. Today we have to look beyond free electricity and free food
it’s easier to get these basic amenities once we have proper work and we earn
sufficient and Gujarat is great example. Instead being a burden on the country
by taking subsidies by increasing loans its better we concentrate on employment
and generation of resources.
Other leaders compared to Modi in the race are nowhere
speaking of generating resources or becoming self-sufficient. Instead they are
trying to play the old poly tricks. The new ones in the race or really not in
the race too are just shouting and crying on the issue of corruption rather
than showing some intent or ways to solve it. Modi has made it clear that instead
of a new system to fight against corruption why don’t we do reforms in the
current system he has suggested few basic and practical solutions such as use
of technology at maximum level in Govt offices which any rational man can accept.
We the people of India today need strong economic policies, strong social
balance and strong leadership. Modi is strong supporter of Rurban his concept
of rural plus urban development which is very important for India’s balanced
growth. We can’t afford more scams or a silent PM again which gives weak
impression in the world and in the country it spreads negative wave about
politics.
I don’t want my PM sitting on a Dharna or carrying Andolan
just imagine the impact of this of our reputation as a country in the world.
Neither can we afford some matters to be decided on streets in multicultural
country like India, there are some issues which should be resolved or strongly
decided by bureaucrats and policy makers. The fake common man leader just seems
to be a puppet of the Congress to divert attention from Modi and real issues.
Also I can’t imagine a PM today who is just not one from the common man. One
who is born in satin brought up in silk can’t understand the real problems of a
man who has only 2 or 3 pairs in his cup board. Narendra Modi has seen the
rough patches of a common man truly throughout in his journey from a chaiwala
to PM candidate. He is the real face of a common man who has fought all odds
and achieved what he has today. Talking about responsibility and work, the
Congress leader didn’t took any ministry in 10 years of their rule to prove his
work and just aspiring for PM seat without any work is not justifiable and not acceptable
for any rational person. While on the other hand Modi has proved his leadership
by his work. The best part or what is making my support towards Modi is that he
is not playing on any communal card all his rallies are speaking of development
factors which are the real issues of this India. While others are trying to
blame him, he seems to be like Tendulkar who likes to answer his critics by his
actions. Composed and Calm, required level of aggression at times, clear
thoughts and a visionary Modi seems the best choice for me as a 24 year old
guy.
